Time to get a little bit soppy
Aunties and Uncles are simply the best, and here are the medals to prove it. Just download the template below and get your kids to customise one for an aunt or uncle that means the world to them. Whether they’re a Silly Sausage, a Cool Koala or simply have a magnificent beard, now the whole world can know too.
It’s incredibly simple – just follow these steps to make your aunt and uncle medals…

You will need:
- Printer
- Something to draw with
- Wonderful Aunts and Uncles
Step 1
Download and print. Then let the kids get creative with pens, crayons, tinfoil – the sky’s the limit.
Step 2
Cut out the medals by following the dotted lines. One for the grownups, if the children are young. Or full of sugar.
Step 3
Put a dot of glue on the inside of the flap. Then, fold the flap around the bottom of a safety pin (the part without the pointy bit). Press shut and wait. Have a snack. Wait some more.
Step 4
It’s time for the medal ceremony. Get those special Aunties and Uncles together and award their magnificence! If they live far away, you can pop the medals in the post. And if you take any photos of your medals tag them #lostmyname so we can have a peek.
