When Santa got stuck in the chimney…
Here’s a delightfully simple Christmas craft to make with kids of all ages – a Balloon Santa! All you need is a toilet roll tube, paints, and a balloon (of course). They’re so easy to make you can get the whole family involved.

You’ll find the four simple steps below.
You will need:
- white balloon
- cardboard toilet roll
- pink and red paint (or markers)
- brush
- black marker
How to Make a Balloon Santa

Step 1
Get all your materials together: toilet roll, balloon, paints, and marker.

Step 2
Fill the balloon with a little water before blowing it up. This means Santa will stay on his chimney (and have a nice wobble when poked).

Step 3
You can paint Santa anyway you like and he’ll still look good. The knot of the balloon makes a lovely hat bobble. Add a nice brick pattern to the toilet roll tube.

Step 4
Pop your Santa onto his chimney and have fun! Give him a little poke and he should wobble about.

And that’s it! They’re so easy to make you can get each member of the family to paint a Balloon Santa. Dare we say it could be a new holiday tradition?
