Step-by-step cardboard space rocket

Step 1
First, gather together all the bits and bobs you need. Make sure you have a cardboard box that’s big enough to form the front of the rocket.

Step 2
Use the tallest side of the box for the front of the rocket. Cut out a doorway and a window for your astronauts to peep through. Then use any leftover cardboard to cut out a triangle for the top, and two sort-of-semicircles for the wings.

Step 3
Tape the triangle to the top of your rocket, and the wings onto the sides. It’s now starting to take shape!

Step 4
For some extra firepower, cut out some cardboard flames and tape them onto the bottom of the wings

Step 5
Use paint or felt tips (and anything else you like!) to decorate your rocket so it looks super snazzy up there in space.
