This is a simple trick where you (all-mighty grownup) get to astonish a child with a book that multiplies coins. Gasp. Good fun to astonish little ones.

Print tutorial

You will need:

A bank
Ten coins
A pin code

Let’s make some money magic

Step 1

Hide 5 coins in the spine of your book.

Step 2

Make sure you keep the book closed and give your little helpers a call.

Step 3

Prove the book is empty by giving it a quick flick through

Step 4

Have your little helper deposit the coins randomly on the open book.

Step 5

Have them check one more time how many coins there are. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, right?

Step 6

Wrong! Reveal all 10 coins.
